Kopaonik
It is the largest ski center in Serbia with superbly groomed slopes to suit all categories of skiers. The Kopaonik ski resort comprises an area of about 62 km of runs, trails, and tracks groomed for downhill and cross country skiing. The ski trail "Malo Jezero" in the center of the ski resort is lighted for the fans of night skiing.
The youngest ones are not forgotten either, nor are all others who are trying to make their first ski steps. For them, the space is provided with a magic carpet and a carrousel that make it easy to master basic skiing techniques.
Throughout the winter season, but also during the summer, the four-seater cable car “Pančić’s Peak” transports, besides skiers and snowboarders, the visitors who do not participate in winter sports, but who love the Kopaonik’s nature and engage in numerous other activities that this mountain offers.

Plant life
Favorable natural conditions of this mountain range facilitated the development of abundant and diverse flora. The plant life is represented by a number of species of trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, flowering plants, ferns, mosses, lichens, and fungi, many of which are medicinal. We can mention just some of them: willow, poplar, alder, pine, Turkey oak, Downy oak, black ash, mountain beech, spruce, juniper, blueberry, all the way up to alpine mountain pastures... There are three rock endemic plant species that grow only here and nowhere else in the world: Kopaonik Houseleek (Sempervivum kopaonikensis), Kopaonik Violet (Viola kopaonikensis), and Cardamine Pancici (Pančićeva režuha).
